getting closer...
I seem to be getting closer to actually sewing. Not the purrsonal though. lol. I found a pattern for a cute little bunny at wee wonderfuls that I downloaded and printed. It will be PURRRFECT for Chelsea's bday present that I never got around to buying. yeah yeah yeah I know, but shes only one and I haven't had the chance to get down there anyways. sunday I promise! The bunny is in pieces waiting to be sewn and stuffed and while puttering around the house I decided to put all my fabrics in the perfectly sized PARTYLITE box lying there staring at me instead of the plastic bags I purchased them in. *anon* At least I thought she was done, until I saw the flickr group and someone did LONG fluffy ears.....so I'm changing it and making the "ears" into feet and cutting up the long fluffy ears to make tonight.
Imagine my surprise when I actually saw how much fabric I have! (we won't even go into patterns I haven't touched.) so I have two projects ready to sew, three if you count the tissue holder that didn't require any cutting. I have a fabric ready to be interfaced for a totebag for kekoa and some color books and I found some PURRRFECT fabric scraps that have just enough fabric to make a pretty purse for mom. gifts away! i need some stitch witch though....i think. i forget, it's been busy here at the j.o.b. I can't wait for the day that Partylite allows me to quit this! (either that or Microsoft!)
did I tell you that i decided to make sushi inari last night too? that's what clearing the cupboards getcha! lol

Discovery!
I've discovered that I'm lazy! lol ok, not really ~ knew that already, but let's just say that I didn't get anything beyond cutting the pieces to the purrsonal done, interfaced it and added one part of the magnetic snap. *anon*
I had *meant* to complete at least the purrsonal on Friday, but the day got away from me and then I had a shocker that evening that left me less than inspired to do anything.... all weekend.
I finally figured out how to do tissue holders and totebags, so I may put together some tissue holders and maybe a small tote or too.... I gots no moola to buy anything more until AT LEAST this coming weekend, so that too will have to wait.
can I say that I miss not having BoB emoticons everywhere? :sigh

Getting Pursonal
One of the many "first" projects I'll be working on. it's small, so ideally it "should" be easy. LOL. If I like how the first one turns out, I'll be making lots of them. Oddly enough, fat quarters should work for this project. I found it on Etsy and since I'm cheap, I'm not willing to shell $30 bucks for it. Maybe Bob'ers will buy some..... hmmmmm....

So sue me...
So I was determined not to blog here. I keep trying out new blogs and still, for my everyday blogging, I kept returning to my Xanga blog. But today, while sur...actually it was last night while I was waiting for WoW to finally update properly, I came across yet another craft blog. I was googling how to make my own purse. or handbag - whatever you want to call it. So many of the girls on Best of Boards had been doing them and selling their wares that I felt that it wasn't too hard and I could try my hands at it. Well, then I found Crazy Mom Quilts and a weekly challenge that I felt wasn't too challenging to do. By the time I'm done with it, I'll have a couple quilts ready to gift away and maybe by then I'll have found a purse pattern I like!
I was at the Renton Holiday Bazaar and there was ONE lady there who wasn't simply a hobbist hawking her wares. She had some awesome looking purses, including a couple that looked rather high fashion! (I want to be like her!)
So stay tuned for shots of the projects I'll be working on. .... oh, and my regular everyday blog will still be on Xanga.... ;)
